Hey there, everyone! I just wanted to officially announce, here, that one of my games was invited to be shown at the Boston Festival of Indie Games tabletop showcase! If you’re in Massachusetts (or even really anywhere in that Tri-State Area) on September 13, 2014, maybe stop on by and give it a play!
RED Rhetoric Games Submitted to BostonFIG
As some of you may know, I used to live in a Boston, which has a strong enough Indie scene to warrant its own games festival once a year. This year, I’ve submitted four card games, in the hopes one will get in.
Give the rules a look through! And if you’re coming by the BFIG, maybe stop by and give them a play!
So I’ve decided to toss Quick Draw!, my wild-west-shootout-drinking-game up on Gamecrafter! It’s still pretty much free (it’s only a pdf, and I’ve set it to allow downloading prior to purchase), but you now have the option to toss $0.99 at me if you like it!
If anyone’s in the area, I’m going to be showing off a few games at Northeastern’s Game Demo Day, tomorrow! Stop on by!
You’ll get a chance to play any of the following:
- Children of Tantalus
- Goblin Need Gold
- A prototype version of Dead Drop
- And an as-yet un-announced co-operative card game! So mysterious!!!
I SAID I WAS GOING TO RELEASE CHILDREN OF TANTALUS ON THE SEVENTH, AND BY GOD, I’M GOING TO DO IT.
Agamemon, son of Atreus, brother of Menelaus, and husband of Clytemnestra. Field Marshal of the Greek forces during the Trojan War, Agamemnon made many enemies in life- even including his own spouse, when he sacrificed their daughter for the favor of the gods.
However, within this game, Agamemnon is most useful for the opposite: giving up favor so as to immediately kill an opponent’s descendant. Pairs distressingly well with Clytemnestra’s Living ability, allowing for essentially free kills.
Clytemnestra, sister to Helen, wife to Agamemnon, mother to Orestes, Elektra, and Iphigenia. When her husband sacrificed their youngest to secure favorable winds to reach Troy, Clytemnestra swore revenge, forsaking all else in her pursuit of Justice.
Her playstyle focuses heavily on staying alive as long as possible and taking down as many enemy descendants as possible.
